Finally invested in this permanent christmas lights. I had this ran the whole night without installing yet to make sure its working properly and it held up great! The modern design is absolutely a plus but Im impressed with the app being user friendly and having a responsive interface. The customization options are a standout feature. There are a variety of pre-set themes and effects available through the app. I will come back once I have them installed but for now my husband agrees that this will be our outdoor lights for a very long time.

Wow is the best name for these lights. I love all the color effects you can choose from on the app. Great for every holiday. The fact that they are permanent, saves tons of time when decorating for Christmas. Install was simple. Just be sure to clean the surface well when using the sticky tape that’s included. Screwing in the brackets is recommended but I didn’t do that and they have stayed up through heavy winds, snow and rain. If they do eventually begin to fail I’ll go around and screw them in. I absolutely love these lights. They connect to Alexa and I haven’t had any connection issues. I had an issue with my first kit but the customer service is top notch and resolved my issue immediately. I just wish they weren’t so expensive because I would buy several kits.

I installed these lights in early December and they’ve been a hit in my neighborhood! Despite the recent extreme cold and wind chills dropping below zero here in Iowa, they’ve continued to function perfectly. I chose to use only the adhesive pads provided for installation, and they’ve held up impressively with no issues at all.
I positioned the lights approximately 3 inches from where the soffit and siding meet, after initially placing them further away. This closer placement is essential to achieve the desired ‘wall wash’ effect. While they are effective for this purpose, they don’t have enough power to replace traditional can lights. I maintained consistent spacing from the wall using a piece of scrap wood.
It’s important to note, as mentioned in the product description, that these lights can’t be cut or linked across gaps like standard LED strip lights. This can be a limitation if you’re trying to illuminate dormers or roof peaks without showing lights in the transitional areas. The best solution seems to be purchasing shorter lengths specifically for those areas.
The length of the cord was sufficient to run from the edge of my first-floor roof down to the ground, where I placed the control box and the end of the extension cord in a waterproof container. In future installations, I might consider adding electrical outlets near each peak to avoid external cords.
These lights use the “Smart Life” app that a lot of LED light makers use. The app offers a decent selection of basic and animated patterns, and you can make your own too. There are timers and basic automation. It’s fairly responsive to use though there are some quirks in the interface.
In summary, these lights offer a cost-effective option for those exploring permanent outdoor lighting without a significant investment. I find these lights to be priced higher than other types I own, and not really any different than them, so I’d suggest buying based on price (and app compatibility).

I recently installed these lights on my house and was very happy with the experience. The product was packaged very nicely. Efficient use of space and well protected. The instructions were clear and the installation accessories that come with it are very nice. The adhesive sticks very well. They provide extra screws and stickers just in case you need them. Even the little Velcro ties they used to hold the cables together were so nice I decided to use them to tie up my plants next season!
If I had one criticism it would be the app that comes along with this. Trying to program the lights with anything other than an autogenerated configuration is not easy at all and saving your settings and trying to find them again is confusing. I wanted to put in a simple red/green alternating color scheme and manually clicking each tiny rectangular bar in the app without accidentally clicking the wrong one is almost impossible. Regardless, the functionality and custom control options available once you figure out how to do it are excellent. Adjusting brightness color and patterns to be just the way you want them is great and I’m so glad I won’t have to take these down and put them back up each year!

Easy to instal, technical people will find the app easy but as a senior it took a while, once sorted I never have to change lights again. Red for Remembrance Day, orange and yellow fall colours, now multi coloured for Xmas. Loving them.
